There is a bit of a learning curve with respect to putting them on. Slide the cuff over the shell of your ear very close to where your ear attaches to your head, i.e., toward the front where the wire goes over your ear from front to back. It may take a few tries. If it hurts when you're putting it on, move forward (toward your face). The main thing is that the cuff needs to be over the wire to hold it in place. Once it's on right, you won't feel it at all.
